Pattern: Riven Socks

The Riven Socks by Karen Whooley are wonderfully simple to make and are the perfect socks for warmer weather because of the open work used in the leg and the foot. Although the name implies that fabric is torn, the holes in the pattern are intentional and allow for better-fitting socks in the long run. Don’t let the look of the socks-in-progress fool you at first, as they may seem completely different from any others you might have made. Once your foot is in them, you will wonder where these socks have been all your life!

This intermediate-level sock pattern is made using 300 to 400 yards (depending on size) of fingering weight yarn and Sizes C/2 (3.0 mm) and B (2.5 mm) crochet hooks.

Sizes: S (M, L, XL)
Fits Foot Circumference: 7.5 (8.5, 9.5, 10.5)”

This pattern is delivered as a 7-page Downloadable PDF, which you can view and/or print.
