Knit & Crochet Dryer Balls and Bag Dispenser
Brenda K.B. Anderson and Jen Lucas
Description
Scraps of wool yarn can easily be repurposed into practical and eco-friendly dryer balls. Instead of discarding small leftover pieces, collect them in a bag as you complete your projects. Once a sufficient amount has been gathered, use longer wool scraps to crochet a simple ball shape, then stuff it with the smaller yarn ends. After forming the balls, wash and dry them with several loads of laundry to felt the fibers together. Once felted, additional wool and a felting pen can be used to add decorative designs or patterns. This project offers a sustainable way to reduce waste while creating a useful household item.
