Easy Two-Color Dishcloth
Tyler RiceThis unusual stitch pattern might look like complicated colorwork, but it is deceptively easy to do! It creates a 2-color, highly textured fabric that is reversible and has lots of drape. This is perfect for a dishcloth, but also would be a great choice for a scarf, cowl, garment, throw pillow, etc. There are only 4 ends to weave in and you will not need to add a border to hide any floats- the edges look neat and tidy on their own!
Join Brenda K. B. Anderson as she demonstrates how to work this easy stitch! The original sample was made with a beginning chain of 26 + 1 (for a turning chain), but you can start with any even number of stitches in the foundation chain + 1 stitch for a turning chain. This means that you will actually begin with an odd number of chains. You will only be using one color at a time, which keeps things nice and simple! Be sure to choose 2 colors that have high contrast, to really showcase this stitch pattern!
What will you be making with this 2-color stitch pattern? We can’t wait to see your project! Be sure to post a photo for our community to see in our Project Gallery!
