If you're making a pom pom with a one ply yarn or another kind of yarn that isn't very strong, then it's a great idea to use embroidery floss or some other kind of very sturdy cotton string or even dental floss to tie your pom pom together. That way your yarn is not going to break as you're tying that very tight knot. So I have embroidery floss here. This is also great if you're using a super bulky yarn like what I am here, that, that just makes it that much easier to get your, your string tied. It's difficult to do that with a very bulky yarn.
All right. So there we have our pom pom and we have this very sturdy, strong embroidery floss or string to tie this to our hat, and it's not gonna come apart. So all we have to do is trim it. And there's our lovely little pom pom with a very sturdy string.
