Here we have two examples of a piece that's been edged with a contrasting color. This one is much neater and tidier than this one, and the only reason is because before I put the contrasting edging on, I did a round of single crochet in the same color that matched the pattern stitch. So that way when I did my border, it just lined up very neat and tidy and my stitches look much cleaner.
